Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut receives a surprise update. Patch 8 brings Steam Deck Verification and free Legends DLC for all players.

While many are still hot on the issue with Ghost of Yotei, Ghost of Tsushima continues to impress its fan base. Its Playstation version is in top shape, of course, and now, its PC version just got a massive update. Patch 8 welcomes Steam Deck compatibility and free Legends DLC.

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut Is Now Steam Verified

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut just received Patch 8 on PC, bringing two major updates fans have been waiting for. The highlight of this patch is that the game’s single-player campaign is now officially Steam Deck Verified.

Alongside this, the patch introduces a dedicated Steam Deck graphics preset and several UI tweaks designed to make the game run seamlessly on Valve’s portable console. Yey!

Another big addition is the free Legends DLC which is now available as a standalone download for anyone who owns the Director’s Cut. This popular co-op mode lets players team up online and take on supernatural missions rooted in Japanese mythology.

According to the official announcement, existing players don’t need to do anything. As for new players, it needs to be activated and once it is, Legends can be played separately from the single-player campaign at no extra cost. The Legends DLC requires a PSN account.

Note that only the singleplayer mode is Steam Deck Verified for now. The update also rolls out the usual performance optimizations, stability fixes, and bug resolutions.

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends brings online co-op experience inspired by Japanese mythology, letting players choose between four distinct classes (Samurai, Hunter, Ronin, or Assassin) and fight alongside friends or through matchmaking.

The mode features two-player story missions drawn from mystical folklore, four-player survival challenges against waves of enemies, and competitive Rivals mode where teams battle for dominance. Players can level up, earn powerful gear, and unlock new abilities as they forge their legend across Tsushima.
