Hideo Kojima has confirmed that he has written the concept for Death Stranding 3, but the legendary developer says he won’t be the one making it, and he hopes someone will do it for him.

Kojima was speaking at a recent appearance on the World Strand Tour, a live performance of the most memorable music from Death Stranding, when he revealed he already had the idea for the third game.

While he doubts he will make it himself, he has left the door open for someone else to pick it up and create it from his concept.

In his own words, and spotted by GamesRadar, Kojima said that while he has “already written the concept of DS3,” he hopes that “someone will create it” for him after he said “the ending of Death Stranding 2 was my finale of 1 and 2.

Kojima has often admitted he isn’t getting any younger and that it will soon be time to pass on the baton to other, younger developers. In an interview with Edge Magazine, he revealed that he has given all his ideas to his personal assistant on a USB stick to inspire future generations of developers and creators.
