Bloober Team’s countdown website was revealed through the studio’s official X account, paired with the caption: “Dare to peek into the darkness…” The post directed fans to a domain that looks like gibberish at first glance but quickly reads like something intentionally scrambled remosdneulserorehsoovamceyerd.com.

From the moment it went live, fans began dissecting it from every angle, not only trying to solve the anagram but also scanning the website itself for hidden meaning.

Because another Silent Hill is aimed to be headed for 2026 (and every year after) in some form whether remake or new installment, it didn’t take long for that franchise to rise to the top of speculation. However, some fans have pointed out that no Konami logo was anywhere on the site. But then again, if there was, that would spoil the surprise.

Another major contender is Project M, the Nintendo-exclusive horror project Bloober previously teased. And since earlier reports suggested that new details would surface in early 2026, February is a very suspiciously perfect window.

From here, multiple titles are rumored since Project M is already a magnet of speculations by itself including Eternal of Darkness and Dino Crisis entries. Some fans are also tying the countdown to Cronos, even saying that the site is hiding the word in its typography, particularly the thin fonts.

But just when it seemed like this tease was going to stay purely speculative until February 15, a new discovery added fuel to the fire.

Bloober Team Trademarks “Onyx: The Dark Grip”

On the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, one Redditor highlighted that Bloober Team recently secured a new trademark approval through the EUIPO. The trademark was reportedly filed on May 13, 2024, then registered and published on January 2, 2026, under the name Onyx: The Dark Grip. It was classified under Class 9 and Class 41, categories that cover digital goods and gaming-related activity.

The timing is impossible to ignore. Bloober begins 2026 by pointing fans to a countdown mystery, and on the same day the trademark becomes publicly visible with a new name that sounds like it belongs in a horror announcement.

That doesn’t confirm the identity of the countdown project, sure, but it adds a real-world anchor to the speculation and gives the community a concrete title to attach to the noise.
