Following the official reveal at Gamescom 2025 during the Xbox event, the team at TT Games and DC Studio are bringing updates on the new LEGO Batman. Revealing on 20 September 2025, the awesome Making Of for Legacy of the Dark Knight, the new Lego adventure starring the beloved Batman, coming in 2026.

Featuring two key figures from DC, namely James Gunn, the Co-CEO of DC Studio, and Jim Lee, the CCO, President, and CPO of DC. Together with the TT Games team, they tell us about the strong inspirations for the new Lego Batman chapter, which draws from several decades of the famous hero’s stories, ranging from classic movies and TV series to comics, animated series, and more recent films.

Legacy of the Dark Knight: New Details on the Story and World

LotDK aims to be an ambitious new chapter for Lego Batman, bringing the most iconic moments from the DC hero’s legacy. The TT Games team had access to the entire DC Archives and worked with direct participation from the DC team, featuring iconic and often underrated allies, to even more colorful and unpredictable super-villains.

But also bringing an almost tactile-feeling experience, thanks to the creative and expressive freedom of Lego, without compromising the series’ legacy. And a Gotham City that’s even richer and more alive, with visual details like rain and costume textures. Plus, an open world to explore freely through the skies and with the Batmobile, a world that hides many secrets and dangers.
