Some geocaches are clever. Others are beautiful. And then there are those that make you feel like you’ve discovered a secret hiding place built purely for joy. L.E.G.O. Box TB Hotel (GC86BFD) is exactly that kind of cache.

Your adventure begins behind a curtain of green leaves. What looks like a simple, overgrown entrance quickly turns into a hidden nook, where something playful and unexpected awaits. The approach alone feels like a quiet invitation to step into a miniature world.

Once you reach the cache, the fist challenge presents itself: a lock. To open it, you’ll need to crack a light puzzle by taking the letter values from the alphabet of “LEGO” and calculating the digit sum of each letter. The result gives you the code for Lock 1—a neat, thematic puzzle that sets the tone for what’s to come.

Inside, you’re greeted by a beautifully built LEGO® house. This isn’t just a container; it’s an interactive creation designed with care and precision by FLF (Felix and Freya). Inside the door, clear instructions guide you through the process.

Following these steps feels a bit like operating a tiny LEGO machine. Begin by pumping on the left side of the box. Then move the switch upward, and the drawer will slide open. Inside, you’ll find the cache container with the code for lock 2—after obtaining the code, carefully place it back where it belongs.

Next, pump a few more times, then move the switch downward to allow the drawer to slide back in. Set the switch to the middle position, close the wooden box, and secure it with Lock 1.

A gentle reminder from the cache owner, FLF:

please don’t pull or push the drawer by hand. The mechanism is designed to do the work for you.”

But the experience doesn’t end there. Hidden inside the pole of the LEGO house is another surprise, secured with lock 2. Opening it reveals a LEGO Travel Bug hotel, a playful and secure stop for trackables before they continue their journey.

The cache owner, FLF, thoughtfully planned for all seasons. When temperatures drop too low, and the technology doesn’t cooperate, a winter edition comes into play, confirming that visitors can still log their find, using a backup or SOS logbook.

As with any cache on private property, respect is essential. Visitors are asked not to block the driveway and to park on the street, ensuring this joyful hide can remain available for future seekers.

L.E.G.O. Box TB Hotel captures the spirit of geocaching at its most fun. It invites you to slow down, explore, and enjoy every step of the process. Between the hidden entrance and the clever LEGO mechanics, it’s clear this cache was designed to bring a smile.

Have you ever found a cache that felt less like a container and more like a small moment of magic?
