Xbox Game Pass September 2025: What’s New? Discover September’s additions to Game Pass and when to start playing for free!
Update Sept 16 – Updating the list to add other confirmed titles not included in the official wave 1 announcement. The wave 2 list is still not revealed, although it is expected to come out by tomorrow.
Original publication – As expected, after I Am Your Beast joined the service, Microsoft didn’t take long to announce the wave 1 list for the Xbox Game Pass September lineup. A total of six games are included which of course is headlined by the most anticipated game of the year, Hollow Knight Silksong.
Xbox Game Pass September 2025 Joining Titles
Game Pass Ultimate and PC subscribers are going to be glad. Unlike previous months where the wave 1 list seems to be dominated by Standard tier additions, September is going a different direction. Out of the six titles for Wave 1, only Nine Sols is taking this path.
Also for the higher tiers, Ultimate in particular since this one doesn’t release on PC, starting September 5th, members can play the early access Game Trials for NHL 26. The game won’t launch on EA Play but will have a 10-hour trial available.
On the flip side however, this first batch only features one day-one launch, Hollow Knight Silksong. This was somehow expected though since the past couple of weeks, many publishers have chosen to delay their releases because of it.
