Gestures are Lies of P’s emotes. Players can perform these emotes at any time in their game. The new Overture DLC has 8 gestures that you can unlock through reading books scattered throughout the DLC.

How to Get the “Play Dead” Gesture

Here’s how you can unlock the “Play Dead” gesture in Lies of P.

• Head to the Hall of Adventures.
• Go to the Krat Zoo Hall.
• Go near the Mammoth statue and go behind it.
• Look for the book “Discover Wildlife: Bears!” It should be located near a pillar.
• Read the book and unlock the “Play Dead” gesture.

Aside from being a gesture, it also has its own functional use. You can perform the gesture in front of Bear Carcasses, and they’ll ignore your character.
