Where to Find the Cord End

The Cord End isn’t a hard-to-find item in the game, but it’s a random drop. It can be found in various sources, including treasure chests, enemies, bosses, altars, breakable boxes, and Nightreign churches.

What to Do with the Cord End

Luckily, a Japanese player solved the mystery of what the Cord End gives entry to. If you head north of the castle at the center of the map, inside the trenches on the eastern wall, you’ll find a door.

If you interact with the door without the Cord End, it won’t open and tell you that you’ll need merit to open it. If you have the item, use it to open the door. The door will lead you to a tunnel where you’ll find an item on the ground.

Pick up the item, and you’ll acquire the Sacrificial Twig. It’s a rare single-use item that prevents rune loss and leveling down on Death, which can come in handy, especially during boss fights.
