This week, rewind your enthusiasm, press play, and get ready for a little analog-style geocaching adventure.

Let‘s get back to the 80s – #14 (GCBGZ27) cranks the dial all the way back to a time before the digital world as we know it today existed. Spool up your curiosity, the 80s are waiting, and they’ve got a Mystery for you.

This unassuming Mystery Cache is placed in an agricultural region on the Rhine, between three major German cities: Düsseldorf, Krefeld, and Neuss. As with many Mystery Caches, you must answer some questions to receive your final coordinates. Necessary tools of the trade include a pen and a good mood.

This cache explores 1980s technology, and three questions about common media of the 1980s must be answered. Once you have your answers, they can be plugged into the following coordinates to reveal the final location:

N 51° (B − C) . (A ÷ B ⋅ 3 + 1)
E 6° (C − 1) . ((A ⋅ B) ÷ 20 + (B ⋅ C) ÷ 60 + 25)

Enter the combination, provided by the cache owner, LucTheKey, to access the 1980s magic locked inside the cache.

Once you see the interior, there’s no denying this cache was placed with passion, enthusiasm, and, most of all, nostalgia. This cache doesn’t just reference the 80s; it fully immerses you in it, forcing you to think, solve, and experience a world where analog ruled.

A final task awaits you on-site to access the logbook, as simply opening the cache does not reveal the log sheet. Play with the cache and use different components to see where they fit in. Once you have figured out this crucial final step, a component busts open, revealing the logbook.

There is room for travel bugs, provided they are not too large. Make sure to sign the log sheet and carefully return the cache to the condition you found it in.

Part of a Mystery Cache tour that was created for the MEGA Event, Cheers to 40 years! (GCB29PT) in 2026, this cache is one of many well-designed and thoughtfully created caches.

The cache owner, LucTheKey, shared:

I spent considerably longer on the design than originally planned. The CAD design alone took many hours. I produced several prototypes and needed much more material than initially anticipated; for example, the cache alone contains 58 screws and nuts in the 3D-printed parts, and I’m using multiple levers and even a bicycle cable for the VHS flap.”

In its short lifespan, this cache has already amassed 251 Favorite points, received overwhelmingly positive sentiment in logs, and reached viral status on social media within the geocaching community.

What a great display of geocaching at its most creative and immersive!

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
