Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. will hold a Closed Beta Test for crossplay functionality. Registration open for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series users.

Console players can finally get to experience Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage next month. And since the game will support cross-play when it launches, SEGA is making all necessary preparations to make sure this runs smoothly. And so next week, a closed beta test is scheduled, primarily for the cross-platform online matchmaking functionality.

Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. Crossplay Closed Beta Test

SEGA officially announced a Closed Beta Test for Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. happening on Sept 10 8PM PDT / Sept 11 5AM CEST until Sept 15 7:59PM PDT / Sept 16 4:59AM CEST.

This is open to all players on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and also PC as long as you have the rig to run it. To check the PC system requirements, you may visit the game’s Steam page. As for console players, you only need a SEGA account to get the beta code. No Game Pass or PS Plus required.

To get access to the beta, PC players can just click the Request Access on the Steam page, while console players need to do a few things. Here’s how to get your code:

• Register for a SEGA Account and link it to your desired platform.
• On or after the start date of the Closed Beta Test, visit the product code distribution campaign site (SEGA Account Campaign).
• Log in with your registered SEGA Account and select your desired platform.
• Obtain your Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage Ver. Beta product code from the campaign site.

To redeem the code, instructions will be given depending on your choice of platform. Note that if chosen, only one code will be given per SEGA account and it will be tied to the platform you linked.

Since the whole point of a beta test is to gather feedback, you may send yours on the official Virtua Fighter discord channel.

Participating won’t just let you experience the game and its cross platform matchmaking functionality, but you’ll also get a bonus. Whichever platform you play on, if you purchase the full game and have a save file from the beta, you’ll receive Virtua Team in-game title. This will be distributed on October 30th, 2025.
