Black Ops 6 Season 2 is coming with new content and features, like Crossplay. Crossplay has been available for a while, but now, a new level of competition has been added: Ranked Crossplay. Black Ops 6 Ranked Crossplay

With Ranked Crossplay being added in Season 2, players are excited but also hesitant with the new changes. Console players can now go up against PC players in Ranked Black Ops 6 and Warzone games. Treyarch has made it clear that Console players can opt-out if they want to just play with fellow console players. The option is intended to lessen the encounters of cheaters in Ranked Play. The devs also stated that they have added new detection models to prevent cheaters from roaming lobbies.

How Enable/Disable Crossplay in Black Ops 6

Ranked Crossplay can be enabled and disabled by going to the Settings Menu under the Account & Network tab. The first setting in the tab will be Crossplay. This feature is only available to Console players.

Here are all the options players can choose from if they want to Crossplay.

• On: Enables Matchmaking with all gaming platforms when playing in Ranked Playlists.
• On (Console Only): Enables matchmaking only with other consoles when playing in Ranked Playlists.
• Off: Restricts Ranked matchmaking to your current gaming platform only.

Setting Crossplay to On (Console Only) and Off will affect the queueing times for matchmaking.

Future of Matchmaking in Black Ops 6

With the new Crossplay changes coming to Season 2, the reaction is mixed. Console Players are happy with the changes since they can opt out of matches with possible cheaters on PC. On the other hand, PC players are concerned that Enabling and Disabling Crossplay will cause them to have long queueing times. With the Ranked Crossplay coming to Season 2 on January 28, players will have to see how it will impact the competitive play in Black Ops and Warzone.
